Amara Osei works in cast bronze and reclaimed hardwood, building figures that sit somewhere between ancestor and stranger. Trained in Lagos and later in Florence, she has spent the past decade developing a private, almost devotional practice around the human form.
Her work has entered collections across West Africa and the Gulf, and she now divides her year between a studio in Lagos and residencies in Dubai.
