Luca Moretti makes large colour-field paintings that draw as much from Milanese architecture as from postwar Italian abstraction — hard edges softened by hand-mixed, slightly imperfect colour.
He studied architecture before turning fully to painting in his late twenties, and the discipline still shows in how precisely his compositions are built.
